Make the End a much better-looking place

BetterEnd Minecraft Mod is a free video game utility software that allows you to revamp The End dimension in the popular pixel RPG, Minecraft. Developed by paulevs, this is a mod that adds more content to one of the game’s most intriguing but oddly-boring dimensions. With these new features come more opportunities and activities to partake inside the dimension, expanding the game’s replay value. This mod has both a Minecraft Forge version and a Fabric version.

It doesn’t have to be barren

Hailed as one of the best-selling video games of all time, Minecraft is a 2011 sandbox video game originally created by Markus “Notch” Persson and developed by Mojang Studios. It features a pixelated procedurally-generated 3D world wherein you can either try to survive for as long as possible just gathering resources and exploring or freely craft various blocky creations using the environment. The success of this game has led to many cool mods developed for it.

One of those is the BetterEnd mod—also known as “Better End.” As an overhaul mod, it completely revamps the End dimension that you can unlock once you’re ready to fight the all-powerful Ender Dragon. This dimension is originally barren and only filled with basic mob enemies such as the Endermen. However, this mod gives it a wondrous makeover and adds a variety of enemies and collectible resources to make The End much more interesting.

With this mod, you can explore over 14 new atmospheric biomes—each with new blocks, items, structures, mechanics, and crafting recipes. There will also be over 7 new mobs added to your game. It has integrations with other mods, too, like some sub-biomes for the Oh The Biomes You’ll Go (BYG) mod. Lastly, it offers a custom End world generator for creative players. The only major issue here is that it could be tricky to install properly.

Make the endgame flourish

All in all, BetterEnd Minecraft Mod is a great addition to your lineup of mods if you happen to be into playing and modding Minecraft. While its installation can be a hassle at times, there’s enough online documentation to guide you in fixing any errors. The new content this mod adds makes any installation hardship well worth the trouble—especially once you’ve reached the endgame story. Plus, it’s in active development and keeps expanding its content.
