New map for Half-Life 2
Quiet Rehabilitation 2 is a modification for the popular action game, Half-Life 2. This game utility provides a new map that players can play through. Not only that, but it also added another challenge in the form of puzzles that you need to solve. In the game, you will play as one of the escapees from the cell blocks, who will need to wander in the sewers looking for an exit. Quiet Rehabilitation 2 is a relatively short, visual, single-player map with an easy to medium difficulty.
Find your way out
Quiet Rehabilitation 2 puts players in the abandoned sections of the block cells on the other side of the Coast. These block cells serve as the detention areas for citizens who were determined to be a threat to the Combine. You will play as one of the leftover prisoners of the cell blocks who managed to escape. Attempting to stay alive at all costs, you will wander the sewers on another side of Nova Prospekt looking for an exit. A feat that will be hard to do since The Combine is still in alert of your escape.
More than your enemy following your tracks, there are also puzzles that you need to do. Quiet Rehabilitation 2 mixes puzzles with close-range combat, which makes the game more exciting. You will need to constantly look for useful elements that you can use to get out of. Some items are hard to find because the game tends to be so dark.
Speaking of dark, players will find that most of the game map tends to be a little too dark, especially in the latter part. It even has some small sections underground that are solid black, and there is no generator switch or power to light them up. There is a generator room, but it is very hazardous for the players since everything you touch will deal damage. Even the water is electrified.
Still a good map
Despite the disadvantages, Quiet Rehabilitation 2 still has the potential to be a great mapper. It has a good mix of puzzles and combat that you can play without trying so hard. The visuals are also well made, living up to the Half-Life name. And although it is very short, it is an interesting and entertaining map, which is not a chore to play.
