Prime95 is an app that you can use to test the power of your CPU, particularly if it’s been overclocked (i.e. its speed has been increased beyond normal). Its test finds work related to prime numbers if connected to PrimeNet, performs it, and sends it back, serving two purposes. It works without PrimeNet, but not as easily.
