DSLR Controller AFMA: App for Auto-Focus Micro-Adjustment Calibration
DSLR Controller AFMA is an Android app designed to assist in Auto-Focus Micro-Adjustment calibration of your lenses on your Canon EOS bodies, based on the moiré method. This app is not to be confused with the famous DSLR Controller app that is used to control your camera. DSLR Controller AFMA runs on the same devices and has the same connection capabilities as DSLR Controller, but your camera must support Auto-Focus Micro-Adjustment for this app to be useful.
Currently, this app is in alpha stage, and it has been released in its current state because the developer will be out of the country for a while and won’t be able to finish it up further before leaving. The manual for the app seems long and daunting, but once you’ve used it once or twice, it only takes a minute or so to set up. You can play with the app for free, but it will probably transition to a cheapish paid product if it ends up being useful. You can find more information about the app and a quickly improvised manual on the DSLR Controller AFMA website.
