Sleek homemade DVDs
If you are looking to make your own DVD, you’re in luck. There are bunches of great tools around, with new products being added every day. Womble EasyDVD is the latest.
Womble EasyDVD makes a good first impression. The interface is sleek and the introductory screen presents you with a number of straightforward and easy options – create a new disc, open an existing project or read the user guide. The help file is comprehensive and the Womble website has plenty of tutorials.
This is a good thing, because once you begin to create your DVD, you’ll see that Womble EasyDVD isn’t as simple as it first looks. Once you have added the video(s) you want to make into a DVD, you go through Womble EasyDVD’s tabbed options on the left under Menu to add menus, background images, music and buttons. Double-clicking chooses an element and once they have been added, you can double-click or right-click to personalize.
Once you have all the elements added, you can preview your video, create the file and then, if you choose, burn it to disc or ISO. Conversion is relatively fast with Womble EasyDVD, and you can pause the process if you like. You can also save your DVD specifications as a template, to speed up the process in the future.
Womble EasyDVD is a good, solid example of a DVD authoring program.
