A free online racing game where you change lanes to win

Drive from a first-person perspective and make it through the traffic. The aim is to beat the other player, but the problem is that most of the course only has one safe route. To overtake the leader, you have to take a risk and overtake in a lane where traffic may smash you into pieces.

A lane-changing racer game

Rival Gears Racing has the same problem that most racing games have on mobile devices. You cannot see very far ahead and most of the traffic is a surprise. That may be true, but if you are playing another person over the internet, then they are just as likely to crash as you are. It is almost as if somebody came up with a terrible idea for a racing game, but then kept going with the idea until it was playable. The game evolved into playable/good when somebody decided to make it an online competitive game where players may race with others and where players may join teams to win competitions. You cannot fault the graphics. If you remember that this is a game that is supposed to be played on mobile devices, it is hard to imagine how they could have improved the graphics further without making it unplayable on said devices.

Worth what you pay for it

The game is free, so it is worth a try, and the graphics are truly brilliant. Rival Gears Racing is a pretty poor game on its own, but playing against strangers gives Rival Gears Racing a dab of the unexpected, and that is what makes the game addictive. Even if another player is winning most of the way, there is a chance that player will make a mistake and you will take the lead without even trying.
