Add new tracks to Spotify playlists with Hypify for Chrome

Hypify for Chrome is an extension for the Chrome web browser that integrates the music blog aggregator Hype Machine with streaming music player Spotify. If you have this extension installed, you can click on tracks playing on Hype Machine to see whether they’re available on Spotify; if they are, you can add them to the playlist of your choice with a single click.

Using the tool

Using Hypify for Chrome is simple. Once you have it installed, just visit the Hype Machine website and go to a list of tracks. Next to each track, you’ll see the usual Hype Machine heart and play icons. In addition, there’ll be a new magnifying glass icon; click on it to search for the track on Spotify. If it’s there and you’re logged in to Spotify, the magnifying glass will be replaced with a plus; click on that to be taken to a menu of your playlists and choose the one you want to add the track to.
