Free-to-play VR game

Lightsaber training VR is a free-to-play simulation game from indie developer Sir_Fansi. This virtual reality (VR) game lets you experience being a Jedi from the Star Wars universe. Hold your own lightsaber, practice the fighting arts, and try your Jedi skills against other computer-controlled opponents. By using supported VR headsets, you can immerse yourself in the classic sci-fi world and experience being a part of this order.

The game has limited interactivity but it’s still a fun VR game to experience fighting with a lightsaber. If you’re looking for more VR experience, try Job Simulator or Supermedium – Virtual Reality Browser.

An interactive Star Wars experience

For starters, Lightsaber training VR has enough customization features for a Star Wars experience. It lets you choose the color of the lightsaber and certain details on the handle. Also, while fans of the franchise are probably aware of the different forms and fighting styles, this game doesn’t have such restrictions. You’re free to wield your lightsaber however you please.

Like most virtual reality games, it requires a supported VR headset such as Oculus Quest. Other than that, it works like most games on this platform, which makes it particularly impressive since this is an indie project. The game is sufficiently responsive, which makes it feel like every swing is coming from you as the player. You can look around or exhaust yourself swinging your lightsaber everywhere.

It still has restrictions, such as having a few levels. Still, the stages it has are great for casual and serious fans of the franchise, starting with the Jedi High Council Chamber. However, there are a number of bugs plaguing the game. Players report that there’s a scenario where you can fall off the edge of the map. This has no known fix aside from having to restart the app.

Still has opportunities for growth

For fans of Star Wars, Lightsaber training VR is a must try. It lets you experience wielding a lightsaber on a scale and environment never seen before. Immerse yourself in places like the Council Chamber and swing your customized lightsaber to feel the Force flow through you. Still, it suffers from a number of restrictions in terms of content and existing bugs.
