Messenger for Telegram™

Messenger for Telegram™ is a Chrome extension that allows users to access Telegram’s web application in a separate window or tab and receive notifications for new messages. The extension opens the official Telegram web client in a sandboxed window or a browser tab, without the need for a new instance. It also updates the badge number on the extension icon to reflect the total number of unread conversations, excluding muted conversations. The badge number automatically updates when a conversation is read.

To use the extension, users need to log in to their Telegram account after installation. Simply click on the newly added icon on the toolbar area or inside the extensions panel and enter your Telegram phone number. Then, check another device with a Telegram client to enter the PIN code and sync your data. Existing open Telegram tabs may need to be refreshed for the extension to inject the badge monitoring script.

Messenger for Telegram™ prioritizes user privacy and does not send any data to any server. It solely serves as a shortcut to access the Telegram messenger.
