Digitize any document
CamScanner HD – Scanner Fax, or simply CamScanner, is a freemium productivity app that allows you to create a digital version of any physical document. You can scan any paper file whether it’s a contract, receipt, manual, business card, note, memo, agreement, coupon, or even newsletter.
There are two versions of CamScanner: free and full. The free version allows you to scan up to 50 documents with a maximum of 10 pages each. This version offers up to three scans for each batch. It also puts a watermark on each PDF file created. Meanwhile, the full version removes all these limitations.
Scan physical files to digital
CamScanner is a handy tool to have on your device to quickly create digital files of your paper documents whenever you need them. To digitize your physical files, simply open the app, tap on the camera icon, and place the document that you want to scan into the camera’s view. Ensure that your device’s camera has an autofocus function to generate a clear output.
When you’re satisfied with the scan, you can correct its scope by moving the side and corner indicators. After which the app will automatically adjust the brightness, clarity, and contrast of the scanned document. You can also do this manually by going to the image enhancement menu at the bottom of the screen or applying any of the four filters available in the app.
You can share any of the scanned files directly from this scanner via email or upload them to your Google Drive account. It even creates backups of your documents in your SD card for easy restoration. This app also offers cloud storage where you can keep your scans safe. However, you would need to create a CamScanner account to automatically upload your digitized files into its storage solution.
A game-changer
This app is truly a convenient tool to have. Despite the limitations of the free version, the maximum number of scans it offers is enough to digitize important documents while you’re on the go. Moreover, its handy adjustment tools help you create comprehensible outputs that are easy to read, as long as your device’s camera has autofocus to get clear scans.
