4X strategy game for PC

TFM: The First Men is a premium strategy title for PC by game developer Gathering Tree. In this city builder, players will embark on a journey through civilization and experience a story based on tales about the first men to have ever walked the Earth.

Just like HUMANKIND, players of TFM: The First Men will get to take part in the earliest history of man. They will accompany Adam and Eve on a generation-spanning adventure, and the decisions and actions they will shape the future, how events will unfold, and how civilization will progress.

What’s it all about?

TFM: The First Men is a character-driven city-building experience that will have you witness the journey of Adam and Eve from the earliest recorded history of man, and how they will shape and affect the progress of civilization. This generation-spanning adventure will narrate a tale that begins with the earliest settlers to the use of man-made tools, and the sprawling kingdoms of medieval times.

The first order of business in TFM: The First Men is to build and develop your territory. You’ll need to tend to the needs of settlements by creating roadsbuildings, and other essential infrastructure to aid in communication, travel, and progress. You can then form teams of scouts and warriors to set out in search of new lands and other points of interest to explore on the map.

There are three types of maps to play here. Campaign offers the simulation city-building experience, Skirmish is more of the 4X strategy variety, and Custom adds roguelike mechanics to the mix. The game has a planned release date in Spring 2022. Thus, there is still waiting left to be done. You can check in with its official Steam page for more announcements and updates from its developers.

Guide civilization towards progress

In a sea of city-builders and strategy simulators, TFM: The First Men manages to stand out a bit more from the pack due to its unique premise. Its almost biblical approach to its story is something that not a lot of games have done before. Pair this with charming graphics and different gameplay modes, and you’re looking at a release that is worth anticipating in the coming months.
