Indian Train Simulator 2018 – Free is a mobile game developed by Appsoleut Games. As the name suggests, it is a free simulator that lets players take the railways of India. Here, you can drive through detailed Indian train routes, complete with bridges, advertisement boards, and food kiosks.

Like other train simulators, Indian Train Simulator 2018 – Free lets you operate the train and move from one station to the next. Your goal is to avoid accidents to make your session last longer. However, there are no passengers on your train. Additionally, everything is fixed, that the game lacks challenge. 

All aboard the Indian trains

In Indian Train Simulator 2018 – Free, players can experience what it is like to operate realistic Indian trains, like the Rajdhani or the Upsana Express train. Here, your goal is to drive from one station to the next. The goal is no small feat since the tracks are winding, and you will be dependent on signals and track changes.  Avoid getting into an accident, or your game is over.

The game is modeled as close as possible to the real Indian railway. With this, expect to see familiar routes, such as Howrah to Lucknow, Agra to Vasco-da-Gama, and Delhi to Mumbai. Each station is a stunning copy of its physical counterpart. You can see details, including bridges, advertisements, and food kiosks. Of course, there will also be a crowd of passengers, loud train announcements, and busy rail tracks.

However, while its visuals are near realistic, the same cannot be said for your experience as a train operator. For one, your trains do not have passengers. Additionally, your speed will be limited to 60 Kmph, even though your driving an express train. The signal system is also poor, as the trains around you don’t get the red signal as you approach. Finally, the sound effects are not that realistic.

Should you download the game?

Visually, Indian Train Simulator 2018 – Free captures the real railway station. However, your experience as a player says otherwise. The trains do not have passengers and move at a slow speed. Moreover, the background music is not realistic, and the signal system performs poorly. Worse, there is no resume feature. You will start at the beginning every time you stop the game. Overall, there are better options.
