Free mining game
Dig Deep is a free indie game developed by GiantWaffle. This game will have you take an adventure inside a mine. Here, you will have one objective: keep digging deeper until you run out of gas or your vehicle overheats. Don’t worry, though. As you mine deeper, you will earn money that you can use to buy upgrades.
Although a mining game, Dig Deep is not as comprehensive as the popular Minecraft game. The gameplay and controls are basic. Moreover, it is not that challenging. Unlike similar games, this is a game that you can play to pass the time.
How do you play this game?
Dig Deep is a fun little game with a simple premise. As mentioned, your goal is to dig deeper into the mine. The deeper you dig, the more money you can earn. However, be mindful of the two most important things. You have to worry about letting the heat rise too far and overheating your vehicle. Furthermore, you have to keep your reactor charged to keep playing.
Don’t stress, though. That’s where the upgrade shop comes in. You can upgrade the hull, battery, and heat pump so you can dig longer. You can even improve your laser and ore refinery to travel deeper. Each component can be upgraded up to five times only. However, you should note that the next upgrade will be more expensive than the last one.
The controls for this game are pretty basic. First off, you will move your potato-shaped character around to control your vehicle. To do so, you can use the WASD keys. You can then interact with the laser and the other components using your mouse. As mentioned, the only challenge in the game is to dig deeper in every session. Doing so will give you a chance to mine special ores.
Is the game good?
Overall, Dig Deep is a simple game you can play when you want to relax and kill time. It is easy to play and comes with basic controls that are easy to grasp. It is also lightweight and has low graphics requirements. With this, it will work on most computers. However, the lack of challenge and the monotony of the gameplay can be boring over time.
