It’s Just Like It Says: Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes.
Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is a first-person multiplayer co-op game where one player is given the computer screen, complete with a bomb that’ll kill them in a certain amount of time, and the other player reads from a manual, with no access to what the first player says, to instruct them on how to deactivate it.
Talking Your Way Out Of An Explosion
The bomb often includes a variety of different parts, from four up to twelve, some with different smaller games to play. Often you’ll just have to cut wires in a certain order, but there are more difficult parts based on Morse code and the like. Different bombs allow a different number of mistakes: some allow none at all. Although the game offers a huge variety of different bombs, as players become more adept at each part of the game, the player with the manual will need to do less and less. There’s also a strong colour vision requirement in the game.
Life On The Line
The fundamentals of gameplay aren’t what’s important here: the fun of Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is the frantic pace it sets for the players. With the right friends, this game is easy to recommend.
