Fifth collection to sci-fi video game franchise

Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection is the fifth game of the Mega Man Legacy Collection series. It contains four games from the Zero series and two games from the ZX series. The installment will mark the return of dual-screen controls from Mega Man ZX and Mega Man Advent. The game has been modified to fit onto a single screen, so you have an option to position the controls on seven separate configurations. The action game boasts player-inclusive gameplay, allowing even inexperienced players a chance to win big.

Dependent on Mega Man universe

It is important to know the events that unfolded before Mega Man Zero and Mega Man ZX. In the initial Mega Man series, you will see the origin of the title character and his seemingly never-ending battle with Dr. Wily. Fast forward to Mega Man X – set one hundred years after the origin story – features X and Zero. The two teams up to vanquish Sigma before he annihilates human life.

Mega Man Zero picks up where Mega Man and Mega Man X ends. The protagonist of Mega Man Zero is Zero. But a series of events will reveal that he is also Mega man X. After a few hundred years in slumber, Zero must discover what must become of him. You must unfold Zero’s destiny in this fast-paced and rich story. You will venture farther into the future in Mega Man ZX. The adventure begins when youngling encounters a biometal. What follows is an epic tale of missions and discovery.

Flexible gameplay features

Several new features have been included to cap off the collection. The game presents two additions to the gameplay, beginning with the Save-Assist feature. This addition puts extra checkpoints that serve as save states along stages. The checkpoints will come in handy when you need to practice or retry difficult sections and bosses. Essentially, it saves at any given time or in any part of the stage.

Another noteworthy addition is the Z Chaser mode. This mode will have a difficulty level setting ranking from easiest to hardest. Each difficulty can come in three special modes: single chaser, double chaser, and world record chaser. Regardless of which mode you or the players choose, all players must finish twelve challenges in total. This equals to two rounds each game.

Enjoyable for loyal and new fans

Mega Man Zero/ZX is a monumental addition to the Mega Man Legacy Collection. Besides the gameplay being considerate to all user levels, new additions have been added to enhance the gameplay. The illustration gallery and music player caters more to fans than newcomers as it uses the same style as the Mega Man X Legacy Collection Titles. This marks Zero/ZX as the second Zero series title to include an art gallery as an extra. Overall, this collection will satisfy fans as there are many references to past titles. At the same time, beginners can enjoy the over-the-top gameplay and sci-fi themes as both the story and controls are easy-to-follow.
