A mecha fighting game inspired by anime

Garrison: Archangel is a fighting game in which the players take control of mecha robots and do combat with other mechs in a battle arena. The game features in-depth character customization options and also some local multiplayer gameplay modes.

This game is heavily inspired by anime and, as such, has similar roots to other mech combat games, like Jupiter Moons: Mecha and Hardcore Mecha. With that being said, the gameplay of Garrison: Archangel is more of a straight fighting game, like Street Fighter 2.

Battle it out as a giant robot

Garrison: Archangel is inspired by the popular anime concept of mecha robots — giant robots controlled from inside by humans. The game allows the player to take control of these robots and do battle with other mecha in a straight fight in the middle of a purpose-made combat arena. The player also has a lot of customization options when it comes to their mecha.

A range of game modes

The game provides the player with a number of game modes to experience beyond the main single-player campaign mode. For example, there is both shared and split-screen local multiplayer, each of which can be played in competitive player versus player (PvP) or cooperative modes.

A good game for fans of anime and mecha

As an anime-inspired game, Garrison: Archangel is faithful to the genre. As a fighting game, it doesn’t offer much that many other fighting games don’t also offer, beyond the character-customization options, that is. It also suffers from a few gameplay issues, such as the game camera being uncooperative at times.
