If you are in trouble in the street or in your home because you feel ill or are injured, then the app will contact 5Star and they will send help if needed. It is not for reporting crimes, and should only be used for medical emergencies and health issues. The 5Star Urgent Response With GPS app is free to install, but you have to sign up for and pay for the 5Star service in order to use it. Not only will they send out medical teams that are in the area, but the app will also put you through to a person at 5Star who may call an ambulance for you if you are too ill or injured to speak. The 5Star Urgent Response With GPS connects you with people who will also give you medical advice for emergencies where you are not sure what to do. If you are unable to give your location, the app will direct the emergency services to you, which is also handy if you are lost and do not know where to direct the emergency services to.
