The US Presidential Election – A Strategic Race For Power

It is the first US presidential election in which the candidate must win the majority of the national votes to become the President of the United States. This is a strategic race for power, in which the candidate must win the support of the United States public, to gain the Two-seventy electoral votes needed to win the election. In this race for power, each state has a different campaign cost and number of electoral votes to be won, so the candidate must use strategic thinking to plot his or her way to the victory in the United States.

The United States is divided into 50 states, each of which is a different political battle zone, with different interests and issues to be addressed. During the election, the candidate must address the interests and issues of the public in each state, in order to gain the support of the citizens of that state.
