The program also includes more than 1,000 idiom stories, enriching the understanding and cultural context of the idioms.

The main features of 成語典 include a synonym and antonym function, which allows users to explore related terms. Each idiom entry is accompanied by its meaning, source, pronunciation, reference words, synonyms, antonyms, origins, story explanations, references, usage instructions, and identification. The program also offers a powerful search function that supports searching by Chinese characters, wildcard characters “%”, underscore “_”, and pinyin initials.

With its offline browsing function, 成語典 can be accessed anytime and anywhere without an internet connection. Users can conveniently share idioms with friends through Line, WeChat, email, and other platforms using the one-click sharing feature. Additionally, the program provides daily recommendations of 20 commonly used idioms and allows users to save their favorite idioms for future reference.
