Application-oriented file browser and launcher

If you’re fed up with wading through folders to find all the files associated with a certain program then ZNS will be right up your street. The app lets you easily browse to all the files of a certain extension related to a program through a wonderfuly simple user interface. It offers you the ability to assign a particular piece of software to a file type, which is great if you’ve just discovered a cool audio player or image editor and want all your songs or pictures to be opened with these programs by default.

I found the program to be pretty straightforward and it’s certainly a better solution to using the Finder to plough through hundreds of folders.

ZNS is an application-oriented file browser and launcher. Its concept is simple. You choose an application with which you want to open a file, ZNS searches local volumes for all the files which can be opened by the selected application, you find the file and double click it to open. That’s it!

For example, suppose you select a graphic editor application, you can access all your graphic files scattered over the drives from ZNS’s search result table instead of clicking and clicking on many folders. Then you might want to embed the edited images into your working text documents. Select your word processor from entry list so that your working files will appear in the result table. With ZNS, your workflow will become seamless and faster.
