Zera: Myths Awaken was created by an indie team group called RetrauxSpective Entertainment. At first, it was imagined as a spin-off of the original Spyro the Dragon trilogy for Sony PlayStation, but it was stopped by Activision before it could launch. The game was revamped into a 3D platformer or collectathon that features a unique plot, a new set of characters, areas, and game mechanics.
A universe unlike any other
Gaia – the mother of all life – has vanished, and her Essence has dissipated over the universes; however, she can still utilize the remainder of her powers to make an Axobat named Zera. Guided by the race of Wingrays and joined by the most youthful of their kind – Kiwi – Zera begins to traverse the universes, gathering Relics and Essence, to spare Gaia and annihilation malicious Medusa.
Zera is the main protagonist and hero of the game. She is ecstatic and eager to investigate the new world she’s in and the perils that lie ahead. However, while she is brave, she’s also guileless and inexperienced. Zera’s offensive moves comprise of running forward with the Mohawk-like hardened edge on her head and an incredibly loud shriek. In addition to those, she can likewise somersault through the air to crush through certain items or foes.
Despite the fact that she is excessively large in size, she has the ability to glide over long distances. She can also flap her wings as the glide comes to an end for an additional lift in height. Zera’s other capabilities include performing a handspring and double jump. You can do this move and more by using your WASD keys, spacebar, and mouse keys.
A beautifully designed adventure
Zera: Myths Awaken has veered away from the original concept of Spyro the Dragon and delivers a charming and unique game. While the characters have deep, rich lore, the storyline is still easy to follow. This is especially true for Zera, who has the capabilities of her axolotl and fruit bat origins. The controls are equally as easy to use as it uses WASD keys, spacebar, and mouse. Overall, it delivers an adorable, fun-filled adventure for all players.
