Restaurant reviews powered by Zagat and Google

Zagat is the food review service that is owned by Google.

The standalone Zagat app allows you to search for restaurants and food in the area you are in. It is a simple app that offers different filters to define what types of food or restaurant ratings through Zagat. You can view results in a list view or you can use a map view very similar to Google Maps’ Local Search.

Zagat is not as crowd sourced as Yelp, but does offer a good amount of information on food locations. Changing filters does take some time to reload the results, and with an unstable data connection will slow down the service.

Zagat is a great restaurant guide, but focuses on more upscale locations.
