Offline soccer game for mobile
World Soccer League is a free sports game developed by mobirix for mobile devices. It’s a soccer title featuring a sizable roster of teams and players to choose from. It can also be played offline without the need for an active internet connection.
World Soccer League has similar gameplay to other soccer games like Dream League Soccer or eFootball PES 2021. It is noticeably different in the looks department, though, utilizing low-poly 3D graphics. It features simple controls and supports gaming on larger screens like tablets for a better view of the field and a more comfortable experience.
Is it any good?
World Soccer League gameplay will be familiar for those who play other smartphone soccer games. The game boasts 60 national teams to pick from, 60 clubs to join, and a roster of over 2000 players available to you. In terms of actual gameplay, it’s standard fare, where you will need to dribble, pass, and maneuver your way past opposing players to shoot and land yourself a goal.
When it comes to controls, they are pretty straightforward. On the left side of the screen, you get a virtual omni-directional joystick to move your character. Meanwhile, the right side houses buttons for various actions that you can take, including short and long passes, shoot, and your special move. You can then refer to the top and bottom for score standing and a minimap indicating player positions, respectively.
There’s a hybrid replay/camera mode feature that lets you save a photo or a video clip of a specific moment during your gameplay. Lastly, all your achievements are posted on a global achievement board. Now, graphics will be a divisive point for the game. The game has a low-resolution look like PS1-style games, while others will find the blotchy character models and flat, jagged images not to their liking.
A decent soccer game
If you’re looking for a soccer game that you can play offline, World Soccer League is a decent option to consider playing. The gameplay is solid with simple controls and plenty of teams to pick from. However, if you value graphics, the game’s low-res presentation might not suit your taste and you would be better off looking for other alternatives.
