Fallout 4 Winter Overhaul – How to Make Winter Outdoors More Beautiful
There are many great fallout 4 winter overhauls but they all suffer from the same problems. The main problems they have is that most of the foliage is not rendered correctly, which makes it look fake when it’s supposed to be fresh and beautiful. Also, the water is not affect edited either, so you get textures for trees and plants which don’t really match the model that they’re supposed to be coming from. I’ve made a guide for all these problems in this article, showing you how to fix them in-game.
The most important part of any weather mod is the weather model, because this is what gives the actual effects, and if it’s not working properly your game will most likely crash or have some other kind of issue. There are many different fallout 4 winter overhaul textures out there, but most of them have issues with the foliage. The most important part of any weather mod is to make sure that all the assets in your game are updated at all times. With the way that everything is made currently, that’s nearly impossible to do.
The thing you can do to fix this is to go into your textures folder (for Fallout 4) and make a backup. This will ensure that if anything happens to your original files, you can still continue to use them. One of the best things to do to fix trees is to edit their UV maps, because UV maps are basically a map of the actual color of the foliage. This allows you to edit the trees with the UV map on top, instead of having to redraw the whole tree.
