Quick, unobtrusive and basic capturing tool

For those who need to make a quick screen capture from time to time, the Print Scr key might do the trick. However there are software applications like Window Clippings which add extended capabilities to Windows’ native capturing function.

This little tool sits on your system tray and enables you to capture anything on your screen in a very easy, quick way. Just press the PrintScr key in the usual way and Window Clippings will take over its standard funcionality, allowing you to select the area of your interest while dimming the rest of the screen.

We liked the ability to save the pictures automatically with minimum user intervention, as long as the possibility to choose between several formats.

However being a screen capturing tool we missed a few extra functions, some of them as basic as support to capture active windows or applications.
