Wildeverse: a wildlife AR game – A New Way to Explore and Protect Wildlife
Wildeverse is a free adventure game that allows players to become a virtual wildlife scientist. The game is developed by Internet of Elephants, a Kenya-based game company, and is available on the Android platform.
In the game, players join a crew of wildlife scientists to explore stunning life-size Augmented Reality (AR) jungles and find virtual versions of real apes living in the wild. The game also encourages players to collect food traces, footprints, and poop samples, and uncover illegal human activity in the forest.
Wildeverse is a groundbreaking new game based on real apes living in the last wild jungles on earth, and the people working to protect them. The game offers over 70 missions to complete, which drive a poignant narrative. Players can also keep on playing in Free Play mode even after everything is unlocked.
The game was created in collaboration with Borneo Nature Foundation and Goualougo Triangle Ape Project, two organizations at the forefront of science and protection of rainforests in Africa and Asia. Zoo Atlanta and Chester Zoo are the official partners in the US and UK, helping the game enlist an army of urban conservationists.
