Wildcat – Combat of Skyrim Review
The Wildcat – Combat of Skyrim is a unique mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition and The Elder Scrolls V: Nordic Scholars. It drastically overhauls combat in many ways, including several tweaks and additions to the fighting system. For example, it increases lethality to combat so that you’ll be more able to take down multiple opponents at once and adds injuries and context-sensitive stagger to the system, so that you’re less likely to get taken down extremely fast from a single opponent. Additionally, the damage done by most weapons in the game is being increased as well, so your overall damage will be much greater than it was in previous games. Finally, it increases stagger duration and makes weapon enchantments more powerful in combat.
This is not the first time I’ve seen this particular combat overhaul mod for The Elder Scrolls. In fact, it is the fourth of a series of similar mods that have been released. The previous three have included things like weapon enchantments and skill tree rebalancing. This one however is the biggest overhaul of all of them and even includes things like an overhaul of stealth mechanics and sneaking. The other two in the series also do include some great features like an improved dialogue system and better inventory management, but this one expands on those.
To use this mode, you simply need to download it and then activate it under your Data Files section in the nexus mod menu. This will allow it to take effect, adding new conditions for combat and interacting with the environment. It’s a great way to get the most out of your vanilla experience in the skyrim universe, as well as making sure you don’t have any bugs or glitches, which is very important to me as I’m not a huge fan of buggy games. I hope that the Wildcat – Combat of Skyrim gets the reception it deserves because it really does add a lot of content.
