Exciting arcade-style football game
Planned as a decent competitor to games like Madden NFL, the high-tension sports game Wild Card Football is being brought to life by Saber Interactive. The developer studio is the same one behind the action-packed NBA Playgrounds. Plus, the game also features former NFL player Colin Kaepernick.
Form a seven-man team and get grinding
In essence, Wild Card Football combines classic arcade NFL gameplay with team creation elements. It features a roster of actual NFL players from which you can choose the members of your ideal team, and you don’t have the option to play as a single existing NFL team, like the Minnesota Vikings or Kansas City Chiefs.
The game promises local and online multiplayer, cross-platform compatibility, and different seasons. Create custom seven-man teams and go against your opponents. It’s also going to be free-to-play-player friendly, as there are no microtransactions on the horizon. Though, additional downloadable content is sure to follow the base game’s release.
Holds a lot of promise
Based on what we know so far, Wild Card Football is definitely something to watch out for. It aims to level the playing field when it comes to NFL-inspired video games, even featuring the iconic player Kaepernick. The best part is it won’t feature microtransactions and will be compatible with multiple gaming platforms.
