Battle for the Emperor in Warhammer 40,000: Sanctus Reach
Warhammer 40,000: Sanctus Reach is a turn-based strategy game based on the popular tabletop miniatures game by Games Workshop. In the game, you take control of an elite force of Space Wolves space marines and battle to protect the world of Sanctus Reach from the invading forces of the Goff Orks.
The Hour of the Wolf
Most of the game content in Warhammer 40,000: Sanctus Reach comes in the campaign mode. There are two long campaigns featuring missions with varying objectives. As the campaigns go on, you’ll gain new units, ranging from basic troops like Grey Hunters and Blood Claws to Predator tanks, mighty heroes, armoured Dreadnoughts and even a towering Imperial Knight. There’s no option to play as the Orks in campaign mode, although you can command them in multiplayer battles. You can also opt to play a shorter skirmish game, and even use the game’s editor to create your own battles and campaigns. The character models are very faithful to the miniatures used in the tabletop game. There’s nothing fancy about the graphics, but they’re clear and very evocative of the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
Like a miniatures game without the painting
If you’re a fan of turn-based strategy games and the over-the-top 40K universe, you’ll enjoy Warhammer 40,000: Sanctus Reach. The battles are deceptively challenging and the editor means that you can keep producing new scenarios to play.
