Free Android to PC tool
Vysor Android Control on PC is a free application that lets you see and use your Android device on your PC desktop. You can use the Vysor app to control your Android with your keyboard and mouse or trackpad. The Vysor download is available on Google Chrome, Linux, Mac, and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
AirDroid, ApowerMirror, MobiZen, Reflector, and Scrcpy are alternative mirroring software that let you cast your small Android screen to your larger PC desktop. All applications let you control your Android with your PC once you mirror your mobile screen to the computer or laptop.
How can I control my Android from PC?
Vysor for PC lets you cast and control your Android screen on a desktop to easily see and use the contents of your mobile phone. Working on your Android is easier since you have a larger screen, keyboard, mouse, or trackpad as opposed to only a touch screen.
What is Vysor used for?
The mouse or touchpad scrolling system lets you easily scroll on your laptop instead of dragging a scrollbar down and up with your finger. Since you can use your keyboard, Vysor Android Control on PC lets you type more words quicker.
Vysor has a functional and simple user interface that lets you know whether your device is connected beneath the ‘Choose a device’ section. A notification will appear in red when no devices are detected to let you know to make sure that your Android USB Debugging setting is turned on. A few initial settings are available to enable like ‘International Keyboard’ and ‘Share All Devices’.
You will need to have a USB cord to sync your Android to the application and PC OS with the free app, while the paid package lets you connect wirelessly. Your device name and serial number will appear in the home interface with the buttons ‘View’ and ‘Share’, along with wireless connection and settings icons.
The streaming screen has buttons along the top of the interface besides your device names like headphones, settings, video, camera, volume, refresh, and power. Your Android home screen will appear beneath the menu bar with your mobile applications mirrored the same as your phone screen.
How much does Vysor cost?
A very basic version of Vysor Android Control is free to use. You will get the screenshot, mirror and control feature that is available for Apple iOS and Android portable devices. The app apparently wants you to upgrade because the resolution is of such low quality with the free version.
In case you want to view your Android with higher quality, you will need to upgrade to Vysor Pro. The pro version lets you change the resolution quality from the lowest to the highest quality, with a variety of options in between. The free version has one option, which is the lowest resolution standard.
The pro edition delivers ‘Fullscreen’, ‘Drag and Drop Files’, ‘Vysor Share’, and ‘Go Wireless’ modes that the free app does not. The settings menu in the free package essentially lets you only change the marked options, which are ‘Pin Title Bar’ and ‘Navigation Bar’. The free Vysor Android Control on PC app has advertisements, while the premium version does not.
Is Vysor safe to use?
The safety of Vysor is not clear. You will need to give the platform access to your Google account profile to use the app. Your Google credentials are not the only component that Vysor is requesting access to since the software gets access to your entire Android device’s contents.
Useful yet unappealing user experience
Vysor lets you click on any part of your mirrored Android with your mouse like you would with your finger on the physical device. Your keyboard buttons replace your virtual board to make typing easy. Both the free and paid versions give you access to your entire Android phone screen. You can open your apps, play mobile games, and explore the rest of your Android with Vysor. The free Vysor app is blurry, which makes the app not so appealing to use.
What’s new?
Vysor gets frequent software updates from the developers. You will get access to any future additions with the paid plan that runs on a subscription basis. You can tell which version you are using beneath the ‘Status’ area on the home screen.
