Escape the world of FNF
VS. Bob & Bosip: The Expansion Update – Friday Night Funkin’ Mod is a free video game utility that allows you to try and escape the clutches of a rhythm game. Developed by AmorAltra, this mod is designed for the popular music game, Friday Night Funkin’, and features two new characters you can fight off against.
Similar to the V.S. AGOTI and V.S. Whitty mods, VS. Bob & Bosip: The Expansion Update offers new songs, weeks, cutscenes, menu designs, and art to keep your FNF experience fresh and hip. However, it often suffers from freezing and not registering your inputs.
From one game to another
Friday Night Funkin’ is a 2020 free open-source rhythm game developed by ninjamuffin99. Playing as the aptly-named Boyfriend, you must fend off any obstacles or disturbances to your date with Girlfriend via the power of rap battles and sing-offs. The nature of the game allowed fans to freely create their own modifications on it and this fostered a vibrant and active modding community.
One of the many successful mods here is VS. Bob & Bosip, which features a game-within-a-game concept. The developer has inserted himself into the story as Amor, and his original characters, Bob and Bosip—made for Geometry Dash, as the developer is actually a well-known level creator for it—have suddenly found themselves inside the world of Friday Night Funkin’. They must face off against Boyfriend to escape it.
The mod includes a new main week featuring the new characters, as well as a bonus week and a “crossover week” that adds more characters to the lore here. This brings in 15 playable songs with varying difficulty levels—even EX difficulty for the main week’s songs. The new updates to the game make it colorful and fresh, however, the mod can be hard to work with since it often freezes.
A wild adventure
All in all, VS. Bob & Bosip: The Expansion Update – Friday Night Funkin’ Mod is a great addition to your collection of FNF mods—especially if you like those that add new characters and stories to flesh out Boyfriend and Girlfriend’s adventures. While its performance issues leave much to be desired, everything else is great and is highly recommended to fans of FNF.
