Something of a revolution
Viva Radio is a web radio that broadcasts lots of good indie, leftfield and electro tracks among others. Even though it has a programme schedule set up, you can tune in any time of the day and listen to it.
With the standalone player you don’t have to leave it open in your browser and can activate it from your desktop.
Although Viva Radio is a very basic standalone player, with no controls whatsoever except for the mute button, it features exactly the same elements as the webpage itself.
The left side of the interface shows the programme schedule, the center part is the playlist and the current song, while the bottom and right are essentially ads and links to galleries.
You’ll need to have a version of Flash set up to activate the player. In all Viva Radio streams well and provides you with a great source of original music.
Viva offers a unique broadcast medium for music enthusiasts to communicate. Not only can listeners finally hear good continuous internet radio (or good radio, period), they can help shift and shape the station’s environment.
