Enable long videos on Veoh.com

Veoh is one of the expanding numbers of online video content providers. The Veoh Web Player allows you to watch and download long videos from within your browser.

Veoh is not one of the most popular sites out there right now, and its content is a little limited, but they seem to be trying to differentiate themselves from YouTube by offering complete movies and shows.

Installation of Veoh Web Player is painless, and you won’t notice the application at all unless you visit their website. You will now be able to watch and download long videos, including complete movies from the site. Downloads are pretty slow, though, and it’s not clear how much of the content on Veoh is copyrighted.

These issues aside, the video player is pretty good – in small and medium mode, but the full screen is a bit unstable. Overall the implementation seems a bit unfinished, although it’s still a Beta product, so maybe future versions will be more stable.

Veoh Web Player today is a slightly anachronistic application – there are sights where you can watch long videos without downloading applications. This app does come with a download manager, where you can pause and continue downloads at a later date, but that’s only really necessary because downloads from Veoh are so slow.

Currently it’s hard to recommend this player to anyone except thos who particularly want to use the Veoh service, which is currently very limited compared to the competition.
