Single-player side-scrolling action RPG
Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider is a single-player action platformer that combines classic 16-bit graphics alongside side-scrolling mechanics and retro graphics in a single package. Likewise, the associated audio effects will take players back to the halcyon gaming days of the early ’90s.
Much of the gameplay to be enjoyed harkens back to industry-defining franchises, including Contra Anniversary Collection. This nostalgic sense is then augmented with bullet hell tactics and eight deadly stages that players must complete.
Not all heroes wear capes
Users will take on the role of a lead character named Moonrider. This ninja has been unwittingly unleashed by an oppressive government bent on total domination. Moonrider must vanquish a host of increasingly formidable opponents in order to ensure the freedom of humanity.
Responsive combat
Players will also have numerous opportunities to hone their skills as they progress. It is possible to unlock hidden modifier chips on each level. These can be used to develop and customize unique fighting styles in accordance with the enemies themselves.
Seamlessly integrated audio effects
Staying true to its genre, Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider offers sound effects and background music that pays homage to the golden era of gaming. Those who choose to play while wearing headphones will enjoy a three-dimensional audio experience when traversing various environments.
Bringing back 16-bit action
This platform offers classic shoot-’em-up gameplay in conjunction with anime-like themes, like those within Hyper Dragon Ball Z. Anyone who is a die-hard fan of timeless platforms, such as SEGA and NES, should not be disappointed with what awaits within Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider.
