Retro neon tank warfare!
Vector Tanks Extreme is a 3D arcade shooter, where the objective is simple to survive as long as possible against waves of enemy vehicles in a surreal vector graphics 3D environment.
Based heavily on the 1980 Atari Classic BattleZone. From a first-person point of view (or should that be first-tank?) you maneuver in Vector Tanks Extreme with two controls. On each side of the screen are caterpillar controls, so moving both forward moved the tank one way, where as moving only one will turn it. It’s second nature after a while.
The tank is equipped with a cannon, which is powerful but slow. When you destroy enemy tanks they often leave power-ups, ranging from machine guns right up to the dangerous-for-everyone-involved nuke! Enemies are constantly spawning, meaning Vector Tanks Extreme is a pretty intense game.
Difficulty levels in Vector Tanks Extreme are well done, and everyone from beginners to hardcore gamers will be happy. The graphics can be tweaked in settings, but they really do look great, and the way your tank moves and recoils when firing is excellent. The only negative part of Vector Tanks Extreme is that there are no levels, the game just gets progressively harder.
Vector Tanks Extreme is an over the top, loud and in your face 3D arcade shooter, great for basting away for a few minutes here and there.
