Beware of the screen demon

V.S. AGOTI Full Week – Friday Night Funkin’ Mod is a free video game utility wherein you must escape a strange alley by winning rap battles. This mod is designed for the popular music game, Friday Night Funkin’ and features a new enemy with new songs for you to master.

Similar to the Mid-Fight Masses and V.S. Whitty mods, the newly-added opponent is an original character who comes with his own story connecting him to the game’s canon lore. Plus, unlike most of the FNF mods, this one uses the Mic’d Up Engine—which adds more versions of the songs.

Welcome to the Void

Friday Night Funkin’ is a free open-source rhythm game developed by ninjamuffin99 and released in 2020. In it, you play as an eager suitor aptly called Boyfriend, who plans to take his Girlfriend out on a date. However, different characters will keep trying to interrupt them so he has to do sing-offs. Since the game is open-source, numerous mods cropped up from creative fans to give players more challenges.

One of these is the V.S. AGOTI mod, which adds a new enemy and week that you can try out. AGOTI—also stylized as A.G.O.T.I. and fully called “A Guy On The Internet”—was a former singer and rapper who had suddenly disappeared a year ago. You come across him when you enter the Void one day and to escape, you have to defeat him.

The mod features 3 new songs for your fight against AGOTI—although technically, there are 10 in total to account for the menu song and the Lo-Fi and Hi-Fi versions. The inclusion of the Mic’d Up Engine even extends the difficulty to three new levels and lets you modify them further. However, these often make the game lag heavily—making it unplayable at times.

Not enough to stop your groove

Overall, V.S. AGOTI Full Week – Friday Night Funkin’ Mod is a great mod to pick up if you want to up the difficulty of your Friday Night Funkin’ experience. It’s highly popular for a good reason since it adds more levels to the three new songs you get. While the mod is known for lagging and stuttering during gameplay, that doesn’t occur so often to be a serious issue.
