Protect your USB files

You may have heard of file locks for computers but what about the files in your USB drive? USB Flash Block/Unblock is an application developed by InstallWhat? that will give you the security you need for the important files in your USB.

The program does not need to be installed and can be used instantly. It is pretty easy and simple to use. Just make sure that you have your USB drive slotted on your PC when you run the program for it to function properly. Once you launch the application, a small window will pop up on your screen with a menu containing your options: Normal, Read Only, and Disable. Normal mode allows you to use your USB as always and without restraints, while Read Only will allow you to see the files in the USB but will stop you from making changes. That means that you cannot import anything in the drive and cannot copy its files to another folder, whether within the USB or to your computer. Disabling the USB will make it completely untouchable. After applying the changes, just click on the button below the options bar to save them.
