uCentral for Institutions: A Comprehensive Medical Reference App
uCentral for Institutions is a free medical reference app available only to institutional subscribers. With uCentral, patrons can access a wide range of quick-reference content, including more than 30 references, such as Johns Hopkins Guides, The Washington Manual, Davis’s Drug Guide, and Harrison’s Manual of Medicine.
One of the standout features of uCentral is Prime PubMed, which provides access to over 30 million articles. With links to local holdings, the app leverages the library’s journal collection to provide patrons with direct access to full-text articles. Another unique feature is Grapherence, a revolutionary approach to finding relevant articles visually.
The app also offers universal index and full-text searching, cross-links for fast navigation between resources, personalized favorites with tagging, frequent updates and new editions, custom notes and highlights, on-device alerts, and a recently viewed feature.
To access the app, current subscribers can simply install the application and enter their uCentral username and password to download the latest content. To find out if your institution subscribes to uCentral, please contact your librarian or system administrator.
