Free word mini-games in one app
Typing Master – Word Typing Game, Word Game is a free word mobile video game that lets you play different word puzzles. Developed by TechArts Games, Typing Master has seven fun mini-games that each have nearly-endless levels. They mostly revolve around word formation, word searching, and quick typing. The game has ads that will play now and then, but you can optionally watch some to get double coin rewards, power-ups, and even hints.
Shuffle those letters
All of the games have pretty straightforward names. Word Connect is essentially connecting the provided letters to form new words. There are lines of empty block slots that will fill up for every accepted word you create—although you can make extra ones that will give extra points. Word Cross Puzzle has the same mechanic as Word Connect, but the empty blocks form a crossword, so it gives you a better hint of the words needed.
Meanwhile, Word Find entails combining syllables to form the words that will answer the theme given for each level. Word Battle will have you go up against an AI to type words that fit the criteria, such as those that start with B. There is a timer while typing, and the longer your word is, the more points you win. Scrolling Words is just word search wherein the letters scroll while you look for the answers the category asked.
Word Search has categories you can choose, too. However, the words can be found diagonally and backward. Lastly, the eponymous Typing Master has words falling on the screen that you need to quickly type out to erase. If a word reaches your keyboard, you’ll lose half a heart—and you have a maximum of 3 hearts. There are power-ups such as the Tornado, Bomb, Heart Bottle, and Ice Bottle, which you can get by eliminating words.
Little variety in design
Typing Master – Word Typing Game, Word Game definitely has a good variety of mini-games you can play. Not only can you earn coins to buy hints, but there’s also a daily log-in reward system. However, while the games are fun on their own, there are some issues that make other word games better by comparison. One is the near-similarity between some games like Connect and Cross Puzzle—they even have the same stage design.
