Watch Variety Television Anywhere With An Internet Connection.
TVU Player is a free peer-to-peer TV application provided by manufacturer TVU Networks. It provides access to a different variety of online “television channels” hosted unofficially: channels are run by others who know about and generally use TVU Player, thus “peer-to-peer”.

TVU Player is peer-to-peer, allowing the user to watch channels hosted by independent broadcasters. TVU itself does not maintain these channels, so their contents vary. Some channels will be mirrors of normal digital TV, such as news stations and cartoons, while others might be DVD video or even unique showings that you won’t find anywhere else. Getting TVU Player up and running is fairly easy, though it’s important to configure the options to ensure you get the best playback from the broadcaster, and it can be difficult to set up your own server. You can’t always guarantee there will be many, or any, broadcasters at one time, either, especially late at night.
Flick Through The Channels
Overall, TVU Player won’t replace a TV and a set-top box, but it does give you more options for what and how to watch TV and other video media. There’s no harm to having it installed and browsing to see what broadcasters might be playing.
