Free mod that improves the camera in Troy Total War
The Troy: Total War Mod – Better Camera Mod adds new functions, features, and angles to the current camera. It un-restricts the movement of the camera for a better and/or more personalized view of the battlefield.
Solves a very old Total War problem
Problems with the camera have existed since the very first Total War game. This mod helps address some niggling problems, such as getting close enough or getting to the right angle. The game was tested without the addition of hills, which means getting the right angle is often tough, but no more thanks to this camera mod.
Camera and UI function changes
You cannot customize how the camera works with this Troy Total War mod, but you can turn off the UK for a more cinematic view, you can present āNā and zoom in without units disappearing. Plus, you can press ALT + K to get an even more cinematic view of the battlefield.
Suitable for most players
Most players have had issues with the Total War camera restrictions while playing the games. The camera limits were obviously put in place to stop people broadcasting less-than-pretty unit models and graphics. This mod gives players the sort of freedom that developers would usually enjoy.
The added cinematic view is unnecessary
It feels like they added the additional cinematic view into the mod simply because they could. They have clearly un-restricted the camera, and where getting very close offers multiple game-play benefits, having a view from very far away has no usable benefits. It is not as if the scenery is pretty enough to warrant people reveling in a far-off cinematic view.
