TraumaCore Violence: A High-Flying Action Game
TraumaCore Violence is a 2D character action game developed by Discade Project. The game features Uzi, a girl who has descended into the depths of her psyche. The combat system is fast-paced and responsive, with frame-1-startup attacks that lead to a snappy and intense feel. The input and animation cancelling system allows for high-flying combos that require mastery of the moveset.
The movement system is unique, with each move altering or adding to the player’s momentum, resulting in insane speed once the player understands how to use every move to their advantage. The combo system rewards players for chaining kills together, with a massive point bonus given for keeping a combo going until the end of the level.
TraumaCore Violence also features a fully functional 2-player co-op mode, which can be enabled at any time in the game options menu. The game’s visuals intentionally pull from a style called “TraumaCore,” which uses heavily edited stock and/or familiar images and/or art to create a sense of overwhelming stress and dread. Uzi is trapped in her own psyche and must figure out how to escape.
Overall, TraumaCore Violence is a fast-paced, high-flying action game with unique combat and movement systems, a rewarding combo system, and a visually stunning TraumaCore style.
