Overall, it’s a mishmash of a companion app and minigames. The extra material is what you’d expect: videos, photos, and other multimedia.

The mini-games are surprisingly ambitious with tasks such as periodically building a transformer when under attack and an energon-collecting augmented reality game.

Unfortunately, the games are tedious and various alerts can make the app irritating.
