Manage a railroad with one finger!
Train Conductor is a game of skill, timing and dexterity in which you need to successfully guide trains along a railroad.
The concept of Train Conductor is very simple. You need to guide the moving trains onto their correct track, as indicated by the number written on the train. You do this just by dragging your finger from the track the train is on to the one it should be on. This will add a section of track between the two lines, and the train should merrily travel off the screen on the right track. Don’t worry if this doesn’t make sense, the tutorial levels in Train Conductor give you a very good grounding in the game.
Train Conductor doesn’t stay gentile for very long, and as you can imagine things get very fast and furious once you’ve have multiple trains wanting to travel on different tracks. You’ll learn how to stop and start trains to avoid collisions – but it’s still difficult!
There are several levels to negotiate in Train Conductor, all set around Australia. You need to accumulate a certain number of points in order to move from one to the next. There are also ‘Graveyard’ shifts available, where you play levels at night with ghost trains.
There’s little to fault with Train Conductor, but if we had to be picky we’d like a bit more variety in the game. More kinds of trains, and the ability to play in different countries would be more than welcome.
Train Conductor looks great, feels good and is a lot of fun. In fact, it’s the perfect game to install on a long train trip!
