Clear the roads and prevent traffic carnage

If you’re looking for some mindless fun while you’re sat in a traffic jam, Traffic Rush could be just the answer.

This popular iPhone game charges you with the task of keeping the traffic flowing on a busy junction and preventing crashes. Vehicles approach the crossroad from all directions and you can speed them to the other side by flicking them with your finger. You can make them stop simply by tapping on them. For every vehicle that makes it to the other side, you score a point. If there’s a crash, the game ends.

Traffic Rush is very simple to play, and yet highly addictive. It’s the kind of mindless fun that makes time pass very quickly indeed and you’ll constantly be telling yourself “just one more go” as you try to surpass your high score.

In terms of its presentation, Traffic Rush has fairly basic graphics but they’re cute and colorful enough. I liked the way each vehicle has its own sound effect. The music in Traffic Rush gets on your nerves after a while, though.

Ultimately, Traffic Rush is very repetitive and it’s a shame Donut Games hasn’t added more levels to the game to make it more interesting. Extra cars, collectibles, power-ups, etc. would be greatly received in a future version of the game.

Traffic Rush offers fast, frenetic fun, but it has limited lasting appeal.
