Escape from infected aliens in this game
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction is a tactical shooting game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It is a cooperative multiplayer in which players will combat and defeat a type of parasite-like alien called Archaens. You can go solo or create a team of up to three players to complete excursions inside alien-infested locations.
Extraction is a spin-off for Rainbow Six Seige’s Outbreak mode. With this, expect the familiar tactical slow-paced roots of the franchise but with the character-based action of the Rainbow Six Seige. Moreover, the game brings back the Operators that players have known and love.
What can you expect from Extraction?
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction is a cooperative tactical first-person shooter game. As mentioned, it is a three-player PvE spin-off of Rainbow Six Siege’s Outbreak mode. But instead of fighting hordes of mutant AI enemies, you will be fighting parasitic aliens. You will be playing as an Operator whose task is to infiltrate alien-infested locations and complete objectives, such as collecting samples, extracting materials, and gathering intel.
Each play session in the game, known as Incursion, will include three interconnected sub-maps. Players will be randomly assigned to any of the 12 objectives in each sub-map. Once you complete the missions, you can choose to extract yourself or explore the next sub-map. Note that new areas are harder than the previous ones. Moreover, if an operator is taken down, you need to rescue them before you can continue.
As mentioned, many operators in Siege return in Extraction. Before missions, players can choose their operator from a pool of 18. Each operator comes with unique weapons and gadgets. Moreover, players can form a team of three to work on missions. The game has a ping system to reveal the location of hostile threats and resources to players. If you are not big on teamwork, you can play solo.
Should you download the game?
If you are a fan of Tom Clancy’s brand of military-themed video games, then Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction is for you. Like the earliest game in the series, you can team up and hunt down enemies. Although, this time, you can roleplay one of the operators. The visuals are not as impressive as their predecessors. However, the large variety of game types it has makes up for that.
