A whimsical game about the life of a fly
Time Flies is a whimsical game in which the player controls a fly as it lives out its short life in an interior space filled with objects to interact with. It is an open-world game in that the player can fly to any location in the game world and essentially do as they please.
One of the more distinctive aspects of this game is its color scheme, which is 1-bit, or black and white, similar to Playdate games like OneBit Pacman. It can also be likened to Untitled Goose Game in the sense that the player is controlling a creature for the entirety of the game.
Live the life of a fly
The premise of Time Flies is simple; the player takes control of a fly for the short time that the fly has to live. During that time, the player can go exploring, find objects to interact with, listen to music, watch television, clean its wings, get drunk, and do many other activities. Flies live a short life, so the player has limited time to experience things but can ultimately do whatever they wish within the game world.
Bucket list
The game provides goals in the form of a bucket list of things to do, so the player can attempt to complete the activities on the list before the fly dies. That being said, the game allows the player to complete tasks in any order or not complete them at all.
Short and simple
Time Flies is quite a short game, though there may be some replayability in finding all of the activities to complete. The black and white art style is somewhat simplistic, but the visuals are created in a way that makes it easy to see onscreen objects clearly.
