Free mobile racing game
Tiki Kart 3D is a free mobile racing game from Arbs Studio LLC that offers a simple yet unique premise. In this game, you will race on various tracks around an active volcano against various tiki people. However, instead of high-powered cars like other car race games, this will have you play using karts made out of wood and fruit. It makes for a unique looking game to oversight its lack of originality, gameplay-wise.
It has been done before
As mentioned, what Tiki Kart 3D offers has been done by other racing games before. However, if you are looking for a casual game to try in your free time, it is still a pretty fun game to play. You can either race in the practice mode or the main circuit mode. Note, however, that when you opt to play the main circuit, you will need to do the full circuit in each session. There is no option to have a quick race.
The main circuit also puts you in three tracks with three difficulties each—50cc, 100cc, and 150cc. Each track will have boost strips and randomized items that you could pick up. The randomized items are your basic missiles, oil slicks, and mines, which you can use to win the race. Each kart in the game will have its own handling and abilities.
The controls of the game are quite simple yet fundamentally difficult. You only need to touch anywhere on the screen to accelerate and tilt the device to steer. However, the game sometimes won’t respond to your touch. Your car will often spin out and get turned around for no reason. The game will also just stop registering your touch during acceleration.
Decent but not the best
All in all, Tiki Kart 3D is a decent kart racer. However, it is not nearly the best in the market. The gameplay is simple, but the hard controls and the glitches you will encounter while playing is a major drawback. The graphics are also well done, but the heavily brown aesthetic—though matches the theme and setting very well—can get boring to look at. Finally, you will only get parts of the game for free, as most karts, tracks, and racers needed purchasing with real money.
