Remotely access any computer on a local area network

ThinVNC Access Point enables you to remotely access any computer on a local area network via a simple web browser.

With ThinVNC Access Point you can securely access the computers connected to the same LAN or WAN, as long as they have been properly configured for remote access. The program’s set-up is not very intuitive but once you manage to configure it, ThinVNC Access Point works like a breeze.

The computer you want to access needs to have an RDP server or ThinVNC installed in order to allow remote connections. No other additional software is required – an HTML5-compliant web browser is enough to access the remote system. The remote computer’s desktop is displayed on the browser just as one more tab, with a toolbar on top of it with several utilities.

The ThinVNC Access Point settings menu lets you limit access to a single IP, but all of the other options (creating user accounts, adding computers, enabling the Wake-On-LAN option and more) must be accessed within ThinVNC Access Point’s web client. Note that the first time you log in you must use ‘admin’ as username and password.

Despite a confusing configuration, ThinVNC Access Point is a handy utility to remotely access a computer through a simple web browser.
