A puzzle horror game about escaping an ancient bunker
The Other Side is a puzzle horror game in which the player takes on the role of a faceless protagonist who lives in an ancient bunker. The player must keep a jury-rigged drill in operation in order to cut through the wall to reach the outside. However, the bunker’s security is alerted when the drill is activated.
The game is free under a “name your price” model. It follows the same gameplay style as Five Nights at Freddy’s, where players must complete various tasks within a small enclosed space without getting caught. The player must keep the drill going and escape before security arrives.
Trapped in an ancient bunker
The storyline of The Other Side has the player living in an ancient bunker. The residents of the bunker have been inside for so long that they’ve completely forgotten the outside even exists. Then one day, an explosion blows a hole in the bunker wall, giving a large crowd of people a view of the outside. The hole was sealed up, and over 200 people were killed to protect the secret of the other side.
Complete tasks to escape
The game starts with the player finally using their jury-rigged drill to escape, but the drill is poorly built and needs constant attention to keep it running. The player must perform various tasks, such as replacing drill bits and charging batteries, in order to cut through the wall before security arrives.
A short and tense experience
The Other Side fits nicely with a large selection of short horror games that are quite popular these days. The atmosphere of the game is tense, but there are no jumpscares in the typical sense.
